Boeing is now saying the new Air Force One B747-8’s will not be ready during Trump’s term due to the company ongoing issues. Since this seems more like an MIC slap at Trump than an actual technical delay to work on already completed airframes, he should give Boeing one year to deliver or he’ll cancel all of their government contracts and ask Airbus to sell him a couple of used A380’s, instead. :)
Though, Boeing is having a lot of issues providing planes to the USAF. The KC-46 is so bogged down with maintenance issues that many folks don't want them. If McCain has kept his nose out of things, AirBus would have gotten that contract and the USAF would have some good refuelers to replace their aging fleet of KC-135Rs.
