“... it’s undeniable that their tone has changed significantly.”

It’s even obvious in the short excerpt. I wonder why that is? Is Bezos exerting control and currying favor with PDJT? Are they just resigned to reality and threw in the towel? What’s going on?

Only scores?
I was hoping for hundreds.

The State Department is almost totally ultra leftists.
I had worked with them and never met a conservative.

“Some incoming presidents choose to keep a larger stable of career diplomats in senior roles until handpicked political appointees receive Senate confirmation. Instead, Trump has authorized the selection of more than 20 “senior bureau officials” to take over various divisions where leadership posts are being vacated this week.”

Trump 47 learned his lesson and isn’t F-ing around this time ... clean out everyone who serves at his pleasure on day one to prevent so-called “resistance”, i.e., ignoring Trump’s priorities and continuing biden-puppet-string-puller policies for months ...

Is Bezos exerting control and currying favor with PDJT?

Jeff Bezos was still married to his wife and living in Seattle.

Now he's divorced and living in Florida.

His ex-wife was a never Trumper.

Scores of senior career diplomats are resigning from the State Department effective at noon on Monday after receiving instructions to do so...

They resign rather than get fired in order to salvage their pensions.

Definitely go down the list of federal prosecutors. The *assumption* should be that they are fired, unless they are individually asked to stay.

A$$ holes didn’t even give the customary two weeks notice. Typical demonrats.

They were fired. They didn’t have a chance to give notices.

I’m totally stunned that WaPo reported this as straight news, explaining that ASAP firing everyone who serves at the pleasure of the President is standard operating procedure for new administrations, instead of pretending like these actions are a “Monday Afternoon Massacre” aberration that signifies the end of democracy ...
