In 1963 the exact parade route for JFK’s ill-fated motorcade through downtown Dallas was published in all the national papers, days before the event. Hope we have learned something since then.
The pedestrian gridlock imposed by the DC government makes it impossible to walk about normally so with freezing temperatures this was a smart move. I don’t doubt the DC government might even shut down metro stops to cause pain to supporters.
