Twin Peaks made way for such high quality, original TV epics as The Sopranos, Lost and Game of Thrones.

I agree his greatest legacy was the television show Twin Peaks not his films.

I really liked Twin Peaks as well as The Sopranos.

I have never seen Lost or Game of Thrones.

I see a similarity between Twin Peaks and the Sopranos, in that they were both great television that run out of gas in the end.

That's true. I remember all the dull cookie cutter cops shows set in Southern California, all filmed during the '70s and '80s. The colors were always washed out, and the air tinged with smog, and they featured extreme overuse of the zoom lens. The stars always sported well coiffed hair, sprayed down with aerosol hair glue.

Yes, I'll give Lynch his props for getting away from that boring mold.
