I saw him just the one time, uh, 26? years ago, kicked my ass. He did nothing but play guitar and work on cars, apparently, so his strings were always oily. :^)

Highly recommend DVD Jeff Beck Live at Ronnie Scott’s. 2007. No Freeway Jam but most of his other hits. Tal Wilkenfeld, a very pretty Aussie, is his Bass player and worth the price of admission so to speak. I think she was all of 21 years old at the time.
