The governor is expected to soon be formally handed his recall papers, as talk radio host Randy Economy revealed over X last week, declaring, "Governor Gavin Newsom to Be Formally Served Recall Papers in Next Two Weeks Following Los Angeles Wildfire Catastrophe."
this time could very well be different, if the fires are seen as the last straw for voters.

California votes seem to be pre-set at about 65-35.

Newsom was the “Golden Boy” the Democrat leaders were grooming to become the next President. The destruction of Los Angles has damaged him. Can it be salvaged? Years ago when the left had almost 100% control over the media, yes, his career could have been salvaged.
Today, I doubt it. His words and actions can not be stuffed down the memory hole. He may not be recalled but his aspiration to becoming President has burned up along with Los Angeles.
My fervent hope is that Auntie Nancy (Pelosi) will convince him it would be best for all if he would ‘do a Trudeau’ and simply resign,
staying on in some capacity until a placeholder is installed till a Special Election can be arranged. The damage of his policies is too thorough and undeniable. Oh, and no, Gavin, you cannot be a candidate in any such Special Election. That’s the idea, duh!
Will the billionaire pistachio and almond farming couple that control 1/3 of California’s water donate millions again to keep him in power?
If recalled, a judge will simply strike it down.
