In my much younger days, I took a few skiing lessons.
We learned to do a “stem christie” turn when going down a steep slope to control and slow down our descent.
This requires that one skis across the slope and turn, similar to hairpin turns in a road.
While I was doing my stem christie a little boy about 6 years old hit me going full tilt with no control at all.
Knocked us both down and he had a slight bloody nose.
If he had been an adult, it could have been a disaster.
