Two kalifornians were sitting on a bench in Old Sacramento. A car stopped and the driver said, "..excuse-moi, tu parles français?" The kalifornians just sat there.

Then the driver said, "..¿hablas español?" The kalifornians just sat there.

Then the driver said, "..sprichst du deutsch?" The kalifornians just sat there.

The driver drove off in disgust. The first kalifornian said, "You know, we ought to learn a foreign language." The second guy said, "I don't know why. That guy speaks three languages and none of them did him any good."
