Former high-profile Los Angeles city officials say the disorganized response to wildfires engulfing the city proves how “stupid this whole woke religion” is.
Former Los Angeles County District Attorney Steve Cooley and ex-county Sheriff Alex Villanueva told The Post they are dismayed by the looting that is taking place and the mismanagement of city services that allowed the fire department to be defunded, reservoirs to go unfilled and fire hydrants to run dry.

Go Woke. Go up in smoke.

The wildfires have always been part of the natural cycle in that and many, many other areas, so no, they weren’t the disaster here.
Is seems Smokey the Bear is growlin' mad as he made his way to a meeting with Gavin Newsome. Reports from correspondents on the scene indicate a visibly upset bear with a shovel.
Interviewed at the scene Smokey told those assembled that "I have done the best I could, but I am only one bear and getting pretty old at that. My campaign for the last 80 years has been to educate, but politicians never listen" he further stated.
Asked what message he had for the governor, Smokey said he would tell him in no uncertain terms "Only you can prevent forest fires."
They will embrace woke until they choke. They aren’t at rock bottom yet. Keep the woke agenda coming but only to CA.
Sheriff Villanueva was brave enough to stand up to Newsom and (then mayor) Garcetti during Covid and he paid the price.
DEI was prominently featured as a primary objective on the LAFD's home page, so it certainly wasn't any secret. Nice to see it's being properly referred to as a religion, though, which explains why its adherents cling stubbornly to its tenets and ignore the obvious negative results. Reform is going to be difficult in view of the fact that it is defended by an army of activist lawyers who find it quite a nice living, thank you very much, and by wealthy donors who never feel the deleterious effects. We're already hearing statements such as "inside every disaster is an opportunity for Change" and never mind the cost to the people affected. Their disaster, somebody else's opportunity. These are jungle rules.
I’m surprised the politicians haven’t accused Mayorkass’s “little brown” illegal aliens of stealing the water out of the hydrants.
Yes.
