Scorsese’s real talent is at documentary making
Watching it now. Interesting. Get to a pre-burned Cally.
Excellent film. One of the cable channels here was running a “Sunday Night Noir”, and happened to catch it. Have since watched it a few times.
You may recognize some of the score from the “Beverly Hillbillies” (not the theme song, but the same guitarist as, say, when Ellie May walks onto the scene).
Any way, has many elements that later became standard - especially the quirky protagonist. The scene at the knife shop is brilliant.
