Puffed up Putin will tell Trump that he’s not ready to end the SVO until Ukraine is out of Kursk, and all of Donetsk is under Russian control.

At that point, Putin will agree to a pause, but demand the rest of the 5 oblasts he now has partial control over, else the pause will end and the SVO will continue. He’ll throw in a nuke threat or two just to make sure Trump understands. He will expect Trump to cower and run away from those threats.

Expect Trump to reply with a through carpet bombing of all Russian positions in Ukraine.
