Anointed = χριστός (LXX Greek translation of Psalm 2:2, pronounced as krees-tawss)
In the Byzantine/Majority textform Matthew 1:1 identifies ιησους (pronounced yay-sooss), that is Jesus in English) as having the title χριστου, as does John 1:41 which transliterates the Hebrew into Koine Greek as μεσσίας, and translates that into Greek as χριστός, which in English has the adjectivial meaning of "anointed")
So Psalm 2:2-3 can be equally translated as follows"
"The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his ChristJesus, saying,"
'Let us break their bandsethical and moral restraints asunder, and cast away their cordssanctions from us. ' "~~~~~~~~~
