It is a shame, isn’t it? Less than a week in the national news then the cameras (and clown reporters) roll on to the next circus.
There is some excellent ongoing local reporting on youtube such as Perma Pasture Farms. But I see that Billy there has not posted anything new recently—I imagine its exhausting trying to keep up with it all.
Fires are sexy, right? Flames and all that—watching parents trying to keep their shivering kids warm in a tent isn’t as compelling. I mean do the reporters get to wear their Emergency Yellow Jacket in that setting?
The folks of North Carolina, et al, are no less deserving than the homeowners of Los Angeles County—no matter the size or type of home.
At least for the folks in Los Angeles, the ground is still there. For some in North Carolina, the very earth where their homes once stood is no longer there— Where did it go?
Absolutely NC. It’s frightening to think they have the ability to hide that many dead in this country. This is more 3rd world crap happening right here.
