Re: The case is one of "rare gravity" - "and the first ever in which a Senator - or any other person - has been convicted of serving as a foreign agent while being a public official," the feds wrote in a court filing late Thursday.

Translation...

"All the other cases have been dismissed, bribed away, or completely ignored."

By that logic Xiden ought to die in federal prison and the corpse lie there for a century.

“Disgraced former New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez should be thrown behind bars for at least 15 years for his “naked greed” in accepting a “hoard of bribes” — including gold bars, cash and gifts, federal prosecutors said.”

I had not heard anything regarding this!
Greatly appreciate and thank you for your post

excerpt:

The onetime chairman of the powerful Senate Committee on Foreign Relations “put his high office up for sale in exchange for this hoard of bribes,” prosecutors wrote in the papers filed in Manhattan federal court.

“The gravity of each of these promised abuses of power is only underscored by the naked greed that motivated them,” the court papers say.

Menendez, the feds have said, pocketed gold bars worth $150,000, hundreds of thousands in cash and a Mercedes convertible in the scheme — which also led to bribery and corruption charges against his wife, Nadine Menendez, and the three businessmen.

15 years behind bars could set a president?

if gold bar bob gets 15 years, how much time should these crooked pols get?

Menendez was in Congress - House and Senate - for 32 years.

I wonder if Joe Biden promised to commute or pardon his sentence?

They probably took the same train home (Delaware and New Jersey) a dozen or more times each year - for decades.

Perfect opportunity to hand off cash or discuss well paid corruption.

Was Menendez instrumental in the prison sentence of Tom delay?

Just looked at “congressmen who went to prison” and wow! There were a bunch of them. Dangerous profession I guess.

First ever in which a Senator — or any other person — has been convicted of serving as a foreign agent while being a public official.

Guess the feds can’t find the big office in the WH?.

And lost someone’s records?.

If you’re taking bribes, why would you take something so ostentatious as a Mercedes convertible? That car screams - come and get me to investigators. A junior G-man graduate fresh out of Penn State could make the connection between the car and a bribe.

This case validates for me the fact that the deep state is composed of vulgar morons and drooling clods. This case also signals to me that hundreds of deep state drunks and perverts are going to prison.

Only because he didn’t share.
