What a tragic story.

We often long for the good ol’ days, when local officials handled most things, not the overarching Federal government. But that often didn’t work out so well, either. Corruption happens at every level.

We need to revive proper moral, ethical and civic education, in homes, in churches, and in schools. The alternative is an inevitable descent into jackbootery. Our work is cut out for us.
