Because place X with a lot of snow can mange snow falling then place Y should be able to do the same thing
No. For example, the State of Minnesota spends about $175 million a year on snow removal. If places that get little snow maybe 2-3 times a decade were spending that same amount the taxpayers would rightfully be screaming in rage about waste
So when an abnormal event, like large snow fall in the South, they do not have the trained personal, the same supplies and the same equipment to deal with it
The way the South deal with these snowfalls, on the rare occasions they happen, is we close up for a day, maybe 2, and then it melts and is gone
My dad told me about an ice storm that hit Dallas back in the early 60’s. The highway dept was sent to dump sand on the overpasses. Well, they did but didn’t spread it. So the drivers had to deal with icy bridges with large piles of sand in the way.
