The Ultimate Pardon

We all hate injustice, and so does God. The Psalmist wrote, “He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous are both alike an abomination to the Lord.” And in Isaiah 10, we have this: “Woe to those who decree iniquitous decrees, and the writers who keep writing oppression, to turn aside the needy from justice and to rob the poor of My people of their right.”

Injustice has always been a part of life in this world, ever since the fall of man in the Garden, but in this nation, never so blatant and wicked as the injustice we’ve lived through these past four years. But God has seen it all, and He is not pleased. Those who have done evil in our land and have not repented will face His wrath — if not in this life, then surely in the next. Have no doubt.

First let me say that I didn’t read the article because I was gobsmacked ( speechless with amazement) by the title. “The Ultimate Pardon”

I was struck through the heart reading that phrase. I thank my Lord Jesus often for my free gift of salvation, but not yet today.

So Jesus, my Lord and Savior, thank you for saving this sinner from the destruction I deserved. This FREE GIFT of forgiveness of sin, of eternal life, that I could never EARN. Dear Lord, I am humbled before you that of all the people of this world, you chose this sinner to grant salvation/a pardon for his crimes (sins) against you.

Maybe this a common phrase about salvation, but I don’t remember hearing it before. In any case God used it to speak to me, I hope this message speaks to you.

Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
