I just read excerpts from the William F. Buckley - Ronald Reagan debate over the Panama Canal Treaties. Buckley agreed with giving it back to make the US more loved and to give Panamanians dignity.

Reagan called that ‘weakness cloaked in virtue.’ Same thing happening in Britain and a tool used by everything the left wants to force on us.
