Russian President Vladimir Putin has asked for his initials to be engraved on chains of crosses that will be given to the participants and the commanders of Russian military units in the operation in Ukraine, the Kremlin spokesperson said, Interfax reports.
"I believe our friends will be honored to receive these symbols of faith which were consecrated by the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia during the festive liturgy on [Orthodox] Christmas Eve," Dmitry Peskov quoted the Russian leader as saying.
At Putin's request and in his presence, Patriarch Kirill held the consecration ceremony of these crosses and icons for the Russian military.

OUR Christmas is December 25th.
What Bohuslavka doink?
“In the civilized world, we celebrate Christmas on December 25th.”
Why?
Because the Romans decided to co-opt/ rebrand Saturnalia with Roman Christmas?
So, all the Greek, Armenian, Copt and other Orthdox Christians are “wrong” and “uncivilized”?
Greece celebrates Christmas on December 25th along with the rest of the civilized world.
As good as the Iranian mullahs giving the little kids they sent against Iraq “keys to paradise.”
ZEEPER FOLLIES PINGLIST!!
(((PING!)))
Join and laugh at the Zeepers!!
Look at it this way, marcus - you get to use your Special Christmas Sock TWICE every year if you celebrate both Western Christmas and Eastern Orthodox Christmas.
Your mom will appreciate you taking the load [so to speak] off your other Special Socks. Â
assertions are thing. The state declares a date, while other denominations declare other dates, all of them "civilized."
"Greek Orthodox Christmas is celebrated on December 25th, like many other Christian denominations. However, it's important to note that the Greek Orthodox Church follows the Julian calendar, so Christmas falls on December 25th of the Julian calendar, which is January 7th of the Gregorian calendar."Simply put, there are competing calendars and dates within the "civilized world."When is Greek Orthodox Christmas?

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that after his visit to a soldier who was unable to walk, the serviceman began standing on his feet. The head of state shared this during an interview broadcast on a television marathon.
"The guy, I took a photo with him, and he couldn’t walk. He’s working on it in the U.S., he was in a hospital there, and they also helped him here. Before the interview, I received a message from him saying: 'The President came, and I started walking,'" Zelensky said.
As the UOJ previously reported, a fortune-teller on Ukrainian TV told viewers that Ukraine’s future president would be an Aquarius, just like Volodymyr Zelensky.
Well, that takes chutzpah.
Start of your daily propaganda for Soros?
Making a good living spamming us?
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
“Valerie Bertinelli?”
“No, you idiot. That is a P. Probably Victoria Principal.”
Who in hell are you to tell Orthodox Christians when celebrate Christmas?
Stop pretending there is anything Christian about you or about those you've aligned yourself with.
Oh, look “whataboutism” from the KGB supporter.
It was unconvincing in the ‘30s. The 1930s....
Now it’s simply pedantic.
Can you imagine applying Elon’s “unregretted user-seconds” metric to marcusmaximus. He must peg the regretted user seconds metric here on FR. I think I would rather listen to Kamala screech.
We're the ones under Biden that resemble the old Soviet Union, far more than modern-day Russia.
Creeps like you are obsessed with Russia while we're the ones with political prisoners and rigged elections.
Scum like you makes me sick. You're as much the enemy as any Democrat.
Next thing you’ll be saying New Years is January 14th instead of January 1st, Ivan.
