On a day like today, with light snow falling, and COLD temperatures, that sounds really good and comforting!

I like cooking with the crock pot because I can prepare everything the night before, refrigerate it overnight and set it all up in seconds in the crock pot - come home and dinner is served!
This is a God send when I came home at the end of a very long, tiring day (high school teacher) and then had to make dinner for my family.

I’ve been retired since 2008, and still do what you do. Once everything is assembled, and the power is on, I don’t have to think about what to do for dinner, or when to start it.
