Why was he released? The chance that he will again drive without a license, and assault someone is very good. Or poor, if you are a realist.

This is criminal negligence on the part of the judge.

I agree. Also, the prime charge should be, “Attempted Murder,” Not a simple, “Assault And Battery.” That charge is so lame compared to the actual video and injury.
