who cares? They hardly nominate actual rock for a very long time now
I quit caring when they said no to the Monkees because they didn’t play the instruments.
Nowadays it’s mostly cRap music and glitzy bubble gum pop.
The whole premise of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame just doesn’t work. In sports you have a steady stream of new stars, as new talent is constantly refreshed. In contrast, most music acts over the past twenty or more years have been cookie-cutter assembly-line mediocrities, or else they appeal only to niche markets.
No one is creating any excitement, and few are breaking new ground. So to keep the racket going, they’ve got to sift through the same stagnant pile of increasingly marginal acts who weren’t already inducted.
