“all the stuff I bought that I was going to use for Covid has expired”
MAYBE it still would be helpful. There have been articles by professionals posted on FR over the years saying that expiration dates on meds aren’t all that accurate — that they generally are viable and remain potent much longer than the date.
They were in the context of prepping, and what to keep on hand.
Of course, I’m NOT A DOCTOR so am not sure about this.
I urge anyone who feels something coming on to try to nip it immediately. I didnt. After two days of 200 mg of Doxy I feel marginally better. That doesn’t mean this is bacterial.
I have a script for it to try low dose for inflammation but hadn’t tried it yet. So this could be it is just knocking down the inflammation.
Last night I went to a drugstore to try to get something..anything..to help with the sore throat. I felt so bad I told the cashier I cant function..can you please just handle it so she checked me out at self checkout even putting my credit card in.
Don’t mess around this season if you are an older person. Start treating immediately. In hindsight I should have bombarded myself with vitamin c
I do from Covid. I am going to try one today. I have a genetic disorder that effects ivermectin but one isn’t going to be toxic overload since it is small dose
I heard about Lyme disease, but I didn’t know how it came to be.
I have doxy on hand because of what it did in the past for my inflammatory markers. It brought them all down. I wanted to try low dose to see what it would do to mmp 9. Last time I hadn’t even heard of mmp9 and no one had tested me for it until I got to an eye dr.
So this is what I am going to use since I was going to do it anyway unless this takes a turn for the worse which potentially could happen at any time.
My advice: Go to Urgent Care or call your doctor. Half the time, my Dr just orders the antibiotics without seeing me because I am rarely sick.
” There have been articles by professionals posted on FR over the years saying that expiration dates on meds aren’t all that accurate”
Correct. They are written by lawyers, not scientists
I had it in 2021. Three days of dry cough and fatigue. But as someone who is not elderly and frail and with zero comorbidities it was a nothingburger.
The protocol all along should have been protect the vulnerable, let everyone else get along with their lives.
“I didn’t know that sinus infections can also go down into the lungs.”
i don’t think they generally do ...
BUT azithromycin is pretty much useless for sinus infections ... it did nothing for me but within two days of Augmentin treatment, i could tell my illness was on the mend ... in my case, i really waited too long to take antibiotics and the sinus infection really did a number on my overall health ...
People get dry coughs and fatigue every winter.
And protecting the vulnerable would have meant not faking a “pandemic”, for which the common winter, bacterial pneumonia, which takes out so many every year had simply been treated as usual, with antibiotics, instead of condemned so many people to the death protocols that our government paid the hospitals so much to enforce.
Don’t be fooled.
It was something different that I've never had in my life at age 61. I'm guessing you'd say it was something else. Okay, maybe so.
I've had colds and the flu before. This was different so given the positive test I'm guessing Covid. Whatever. I don't care. I was never one of the risk demographic and never will be. All I'm saying is I got it and it was minimal.
Happy New Year!
There’s also the nocebo effect.
Happy New Year—let 2025 be a good one!
I did take the Ivermectin....and I do have Covid. I couldn’t believe it
I survived the entire pandemic without getting it.
Urgent care was useless. Same as people experienced in the beginning of Covid.
I am positive that Doxy has helped me. I should be about day 7 around the time when things can go bad. So now, I have to read up on all the stuff I was going to take way back when
I am mad I let myself be lulled into a false sense of security. I should have started the protocols a lot sooner.
So if anyone gets a wicked sore throat you might want to check out an at home test. Mine was expired by a year and still was accurate as confirmed by Urgent Care.
Covid. Bummer! If you took Ivermectin then your ordeal might be relatively tolerable overall. I think it helped me.
In September 2021, hubby came down with Covid on a Thursday. On Sunday it was my turn. On Tuesday, my sister brought Ivermectin for me. Hubby wouldn’t take it; he fell for the horse paste thing.
Wednesday, I felt better, better still on Thursday, and good on Friday.
Husband’s, without Ivermectin, lingered for two weeks, and it was pretty extreme.
We cruised for 2 weeks in December, and before we left I got a stash of ivm from our pharmacist. I wanted to have some on hand for both of us “just in case”.
Luckily, all four of us in the group stayed healthy for the whole trip.
