Unreal: Jimmy Carter Outlived His NYT Obituary Writer

President Jimmy Carter has passed away. He was 100 years old. There’s a joke somewhere that perhaps God forgot about the former president for years. He stuck around long enough to cast his ballot in the 2024 election, but he was finally called home yesterday. Carter had the longest post-presidencies in American history. For sure, the liberal media will gush over his disappointing presidency, trying to make the case that Joe Biden might be included. Still, the fact is that both men were booted out of office by voters and without much hesitation. Still, the man lived a remarkable life

On January 9 celebrate Jimmah’s legacy by joining with friends and neighbors to create a mile long line in front of the nearest gas station...just like we had to do under his administration....

We can thank him as well for FEMA and a Cabinet level Department of Education.

Sad for anyone’s passing. And generally speaking, after such, the positives are almost always emphasized. In this case, it’s hard to ignore Pr. Carter’s negatives.

But he didn’t outlive Keith Richards.

Jimmy Carter was the worst President in all of US history. I never thought that anyone else could come close to his terrible Presidency.

Joe Biden took that challenge and won.

Are you sure that Keith is really alive? He could be a zombie.

Please don’t compare Jimmy Carter to Joe Biden. Sure both were democrats, and both were terrible Presidents. But that’s where the comparison should end.
Jimmy Carter matriculated to the Navel Academy during world war 2. While the war was over by the time he graduated he served admirably for years with several deployments. He left the Navy only after his father died to return home to help on the family farm. Joe Biden used political influence to get declared 4f for “childhood asthma” to avoid service in Vietnam despite having been a lifeguard, a (according to him at least) college football player at University of Delaware and Cornpop fighting tough guy. Carter was President during tumultuous times…the Vietnam war had just ended, the President had resigned amid a corruption scandal and inflation was already rising when he took office. While he no doubt bungled the job, most Presidents get too much blame and too much credit for things that happen on their watch. Post presidency Carter fought to irradiate rare diseases that pharmaceutical companies ignore because there’s no profit in it. His work with Habitat for Humanity is well known. Biden used his time in office from a very young age to grift and profit personally from selling out American policy. Jimmy Carter may not have been a great President but he was a good and decent man. Biden may be the worst President in history and he has been a lying, grifting dirtbag from the get go.
