January 20 is just one day after the anniversary of General Robert E. Lee’s birth; and one day before the anniversary of the birth of General Stonewall Jackson.
Time for a Lee-Trump-Jackson celebration!
.....Time for a Lee-Trump-Jackson celebration!....
I agree!
....”..Lee-Jackson-King Day was a holiday celebrated in the Commonwealth of Virginia from 1984 to 2000 as a combination of Lee-Jackson Day and Martin Luther King Jr. Day.....”
...We lived in The Old Dominion for many years and even as transplanted Yankees, we honored this now-defunct holiday....As far as I am concerned, for this year, as in all previous years, MLK day does not exist...I would love to see Mr. Trump’s inauguration, but as far as honoring the adulterer and plagiarizer, MLK, stuff it......
I got married on Robert E. Lee’s birthday.
The band at my wedding reception played Dixie for the first dance.
