**How does the emerging professional-football-team-on-campus system protect the economic and physical health of all team members?**

A scholarship is payment in full.
Fair? It’s not for me or you to decide. An 18 year old has just as much right to earn a living in the NFL as a grad. Then comes the draft to keep salaries down. At least the ‘students’ can enter the transfer portal and market themselves.

I’m waiting for someone to do a Curt Flood and challenge the draft in court.

“A scholarship is payment in full.”

That is the way it was supposed to be in the past.

I don't keep track of all the rules but I hear some college football players are legally making millions of dollars while in school. And they are playing against other college students - some of them are walk-ons - who are risking their necks to make millionaires look great.

I have no problem with corporations or even wealthy sports fans giving millions of dollars to athletes they like.

What I don't like is subsidizing a monopoly with tax dollars by paying for stadiums on college campuses to house professional NFL farm teams.

We can call these professional farm teams “college teams” but they are still professional farm teams.
