Nobody was home at the time of the incident Friday night, and Doncic filed a police report..
Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks is the latest professional athlete whose home has been burglarized.
The star guard's business manager told multiple media outlets Saturday there was a break-in at Doncic's home. Lara Beth Seager said nobody was home at the time of the incident Friday night, and Doncic filed a police report.
Jewelry valued at about $30,000 was stolen...
Doncic, 25, who is from Slovenia, is the sixth known pro athlete in the U.S. whose home was burglarized since October. Star NFL quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes of Kansas City and Joe Burrow of Cincinnati are among them, along with Mahomes' tight end, Travis Kelce.
The others were Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis and Minnesota Timberwolves guard Mike Conley Jr.
The NFL and NBA issued security alerts to their players after the break-ins, some of which have come when players were away with their teams for road games. The NFL's alert says homes of professional athletes across multiple sports have become “increasingly targeted for burglaries by organized and skilled groups.”
Burrow lamented a loss of privacy over having to acknowledge that he was the victim of a break-in.
I really don’t get this:
From a link:

He could hire a private security firm with what to him is spare change. Heck even I as a broke person have Simply Safe (no affiliation except as a customer) had the cops show up in less than two minutes when I forgot to hit the “I am at home” button.
Sorry: SimpliSafe
Dallas + Burglary = Cops might show up the next day.
This is the sports fans fault. They financially support these absurb salaries for bouncing, throwing, hitting, or kicking a ball. If he was making 75k a year, he wouldn’t have enough money for all that stuff the robbers want to take.

lol. What?!
The answer to not being burglarized is to not have anything to steal?
Gtfoh
Yup. And may — MAY — look into it a year and a half later (my personal experience). To be fair the cops are dealing with more serious issues such as murders, rapes, etc.
Again why I ref’d private security. Sure he could afford such.
It’s still sinful to break into a house and steal…..
Regardless.
**The answer to not being burglarized is to not have anything to steal?**
Target rich environment. Having 30k of jewelry laying around? I don’t personally know anyone that has that. And I’m not impressed with sports ‘stars’. My wife even less.
Jimmah Cawtuhz administration busted many a farmer, me included. But I continued to slog it out, not quitting farming until 2000. The wife and I got so desperate that we sold our rings. We were silly to go to that extreme, but we got used to not having them and never replaced them. Gone ringless for the last 42 of our 46 years of marriage. We know we’re married.
These homes probably have pretty good security systems. How the heck...? Are they doing a Nakatomi Plaza on them and cutting the power to them?
Why don’t they just hire a couple of guys to hang out, watch the game with AR-15s and ballistic vests. They could also make their homes unbreakable. It can’t be that expensive.
Robbers like a big payday just like anybody else. Yes, what they do is wrong. But that’s the real world.
I was simply pointing out that sports is a non-essential industry, yet people worship these athletes. If these ‘stars’ were making what I think their pay should be the robbers certainly wouldn’t be striking it rich in one robbery.
Also, stadiums and arenas are lightning rods for car thieves/car vandalizers. The crooks know the owners will be gone for 3 hours, maybe longer.
You shall have no other gods before Me.
You shall make no idols.
You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain. Keep the Sabbath day holy.
Honor your father and your mother.
You shall not murder.
You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal.
You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
But they are only suggestions. /sarc
Very true.
Sorry got some of the paragraph breaks wrong. Sigh
💯.
I never said anything that would indicate that I approve of theft.
So you combined a few commandments, God understands. It is the not keeping them that he disapproves of.
We used to drive by Johnny Carson’s house on St. Cloud drive in Bel Air back in the 70s and he was the only star who had a guard shack inside his gates with a 24 hour 7/24/360 guard in it.
The only star we saw that had that and we knew where all the stars homes were. These athletes and celebrities better get smart. Times are even more dangerous than back then.
There is a LOT of crime despite what FIB’s published statistics might put out.
The poorest folk who have hardly anything to steal rightfully fear violent crime.
Common folk fear property crime as well as random crime.
The super rich should not be immune from the fear of crime.
I say to them welcome to Biden’s Amerika.
