The administrative court of Nîmes delivered yet another blow to France’s Christian heritage last Friday, ordering the mayor of Beaucaire, Nelson Chaudon, to remove the Provençal nativity scene from the town hall. The charge? A supposed violation of secularism, gleefully pursued by the left-wing Human Rights League (LDH)—an organization that seems to consider any public expression of Christianity an existential threat.
This is not an isolated incident. Across France, nativity scenes and other Christian symbols are being systematically targeted under the guise of upholding secularism. But where is this same fervor when it comes to enforcing secularism against Islamic displays or practices? The LDH, while obsessively targeting nativity scenes, staunchly opposed the ban on abayas in schools—garments that are unambiguously religious and defy the principles of secular education. The hypocrisy is stunning but predictable: Christianity is a soft target because the Left knows it won’t face violent retaliation.

This is not about secularism; it’s about cultural annihilation. France’s so-called defenders of “equality” have turned their sights on Christianity while turning a blind eye to the growing dominance of Islam in public life. From halal-only menus in schools to accommodating Islamic prayer rooms in universities, the French government and its leftist allies bend over backward to appease Muslims. The ONLY chance that France has to peacefully transition to Islamic Rule is to do so in small bits, so banning Nativity Scenes as an early step does make sense from that standpoint.
And it kind of reminds me of college (yes, some Ukraine War opponents did go to college), where they wanted to zero-out drinking on campus. The first stage was no hallway parties (drink in your rooms only), then 2 years later - no drinking with the room door open (closed was ok), then 2 years later - no drinking at all. Few people had to experience the full process, so few complained - yet the transition was successful.
Same here, a little at a time. Watch now for dress codes being slowly tightened, especially for women. Same for pork, you’ll soon only be able to order it on-line, and then, eventually, not at all. Of course the taxes on it will be so high that few will even notice the outright ban.
Given the history of European communists, moves like this by the LDH are likely to provoke antisemitism, justified or not.

The link you posted takes it all out of context.
You will see Nativity Scenes all over the place in France. They are everywhere during Christmas times!
However, there is a century (1905) old rule that forbids to have them located inside town halls, that’s all.
Likewise, any islamic signs are forbidden in French town halls, as well.
Nativity Scenes are put in place in the most visible areas these days, not hidden inside town halls where few people visit.

Putin has done his people are tragic disservice by permitting the Towel Heads to run amok in Russia. He should viciously smash them at every sign of provocation until they pack up and retreat back to the deserts of the Middle East and Africa.
My father served overseas in WWII.
He did not have a high opinion of the Frenchies.
He had due respect for the Brits as fighters and spoke highly of Monty who led the Brits on the ground in Europe.
