“They should be making an issue of our education system if they really believe Americans aren’t up to these jobs.”

Bad-mouthing our public K-12 education system is cheap and easy to do. I believe much of it is not justified.

Remember, H-1B employers might be mandated to provide (or pay for) education for the children of employees (and outsiders if they provide less than two school places per employee) and given tax credits for say 70% of the cost.

No, it is justified. At the university where I worked about 30% of incoming freshman had to go thru some kind of remedial education before they could start college-level classes. That was back in 2008 & I’m sure things have not improved in the interim.

Teachers unions need to go. Most of the teachers probably need to go. Back to phonics & repetition, no sex ed, no anti-American crap & maybe some Bible thrown in. There’s a lot to fix in our education system.
