With all the boilerplate text and clickbait, the best 300 words to excerpt are almost never the first 300. I prefer scientific papers where the abstract giving a quick summary of the results is first followed by the full article giving the details.

With all the boilerplate text and clickbait, the best 300 words to excerpt are almost never the first 300.

Which is why a considerate and able poster will often provide excerpts of an excerpt, but I suspect some ppl actually post from a smartphone. A poor substitute.
