I have stamp #1, and the accompanying 1st Day of Issue envelope. The stampโ€™s glue dried up and the stamp fell off. Now I just keep the stamp in the envelope.

I don't have the Apollo 8 one unfortunately, but I do have a few Apollo 11 first man on the Moon 1st day covers.

Here's a funny-weird star themed connection for you from the Apollo insignia (just one example; there's a whole heap more integrated into it):

The star of the program was Neil Armstrong, the first man on the Moon who made the epic announcement of the ages which will be evident soon enough.
