It’s the seriousness of the charges. Not the fact DOJ investigated these allegations and decided there wasn’t anything to them.
Learn about Separation of Powers.
Then read the report and how Gaetz responded to requests for information.
Gaetz was afforded due process in the House inquiry. But when he realized that he was “busted” he started whining about due process.
Gaetz keeps claiming that DOJ opted not to bring charges. But that’s not the only peril he was potentially in, as Congress has their own rules to discipline its Members.
Don’t like it? Take it up with the Founders.

You have it backwards. If even one of the allegations is known to be grossly misrepresented, not just in error but knowingly grossly misrepresented - then that throws the entire document and the credibility of its authors and the entire mission of the group into question, just like the J6 committee.
As it happens at least three of the women directly contradicted the allegations in the report.
Furthermore the committee only has jurisdiction over members of Congress, whuch Gaetz was not at the time of the release.
Just allegations. Like the Duke LaCrosse case.
That's when discernment kicks in - reading the document objectively and using all available information on which to form an opinion or judgement.
Exactly. Allegations. Yawn.
Fake news.
No actual charges. No court of law.
Now, release the millions spent on sexual harassment claims by ALL members of Congress.

By including known lies, the committee is objectively dishonest and therefore must be working to advance an interest other than the truth.
