I thought "White Rabbit" was about LSD, like "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" and
Smashed! Blocked! by John's Children. Then there are the marijuana songs such as
Acapulco Gold by the Rainy Daze and "Puff the Magic Dragon" by Peter, Paul & Mary.

LSD is a colorless product whereas heroin can be black, brown or white and comes from the same drugs as morphine. There have been a number of songs relating to smack or horse:
Neil Young: The Needle and the Damage Done
Red Hot Chili Peppers: Under the Bridge
Velvet Underground: Heroin
Sinead O’Connor and U2: Heroin
Pink Floyd: Comfortably Numb
The Ramones: Chinese Rock
Lou Reed: Perfect Day
James Brown: King Heroin
Yoko Ono: Cold Turkey
Sublime: Pool Shark
Everclear: Heroin Girl
System of a Down: She’s Like Heroin
50 Cent: A Baltimore Love Thing
Billy Joel: Captain Jack
Goo Goo Dolls: Black Balloon

The only song on that list that I am familiar with is James Brown's "King Heroin" (1972).
This tune is about psychotropic drugs, including cocaine, and possibly heroin.
Junker Blues--Champion Jack Dupree (1941). You might be familiar with a much tamer version:
The Fat Man--Fats Domino (1950)
