Generally speaking, I use 14 digit, random passwords with the mix of upper/lower, numbers and special characters. A Cyber expert I work with recommends the same but ONLY written down a piece of paper. I no longer allow passwords to be saved via browser either.

I’ve always denied that. I only trust my passwords to two places: Apple’s “Passwords” and to LastPass. As somebody pointed out above, LastPass got hacked but no passwords were lost. (I think an employee fell for a social engineering scam, IIRC). Passwords are hashed.

Same here. NEVER use any words for passwords, always a mix of lower/upper case, use numbers randomly placed, never repeating the same number, and at least 3 "special" characters randomly placed.
Also, never use the same letter more than once (upper and lower are different).
So, for example, XxPp61.Ww6QqLlEe*4Bb8YyMm2- .
Not crackable, at least until they start using Quantum computers...
