Having read the Bible through multiple times I assure all there is nothing sexually explicit in the Bible.
Sex is mentioned. But euphemistically or discreetly. “Adam knew his wife and she conceived“ or “if a man force a woman”, nothing porny ever.
Lot is grisly yet is not related in a porno way. Terrible sins are recounted in scripture on occasion. Yet sin is not celebrated or promoted, rather it is shown as horrible.
Imagine telling the story of the Civil War. One could talk all about the mini ball tearing the flesh, disrupting the small intestine, joyfully describe the screams, the ensuing infection, pus, screams, dwell on amputations and complications, the agonies of death. Or one could say a man was tragically shot, badly hurt, and died in despair of a lingering infection.
In both cases the history is told but in one a psychopath can really indulge and in the other all of us can sympathize and relate and understand.
“Begotting is a problem”
LOL. Good one. I was straining for an answer and you nailed it in four words!
Democrats fight dirty. I remember when Bush was president and the Afghan war began, they introduced a bill in Congress to draft women. Just to poke a stick in everyone’s eye.
Whoever is responsible for this needs a good beating to make them understand we are not amused by their attempts at playing games with people's religious beliefs.
This. And the correct response to malicious compliance is to whip some @$$.
People playing word games need a beat down.
They used the term ‘sexual conduct’ specifically so they could ban the Bible. They could have said plenty of other things to avoid it.
This is the act of pathetic children that think they’re being clever. It’s like a 3 year old making a bold lie that everyone else knows to be false but thinks if they just lie hard enough they’ll be believed. These are the minds of children.
Do the condoms, probably given to students, have printed instructions?
well look at the silly liberals, throwin’ a hissy fit...

***citing a law passed last year by the Texas Legislature that bans all books containing sexually explicit material, ****
I remember school libraries (1960-1964)in High School that had books with some rather “interesting” scenes. None were porn.
Many of the popular novels in the 1930s had such paragraphs in them. Drums Along The Mohawk, Manila Galleon, and many others I read in my youth.
Sounds like someone is just looking for something to ban and create a scene. Nothing like THE DECAMERON (1353) story of Putting the Devil in Hell. This story was always kept in Italian and not translated.
Not world-class trolling, but pretty good.
Note the words “our partner churches” who are more than happy to donate - for the person to keep at home - their very own Bible.
I always warn the teens in my Sunday School class when we read through Genesis - I tell them we will read some things that will curl their hair (Sodom, Lot’s daughters, Judah’s daughter-in-law, etc.). But that’s nothing compared to Song of Solomon.
