Ukraine has been assassinating Russkie officers for quite awhile now, recently nailed the General in charge of their nuclear forces. I don’t know the goal of this attack but probably targeting someone in particular.
As for “just killing Russians,” where are you when Russia routinely attacks apartment buildings, schools, hospitals, shopping malls, and critical infrastructure targeting civilians since the start of the war?
There is nothing senseless about what Ukrainians fight and die for. Existing as a people and nation in the face of another genocidal invasion has always been the goal. Not having their children stolen, again, by the Moscow Kremlin is the goal. I could go on but its clear you don’t understand the basic concepts at hand. Thanks, ok.
