“Musk backs the AfD”

...and Trump backs Musk, and Russia backs Trump.

Bottom Line: The AfD is a PUPPET of Putin and must be DISBANDED, immediately - you know, due to ‘European Values’.

Actually, I’ll be surprised if the Fascists in Europe DO NOT disband the AfD before the Feb. 2025 election, since the AfD opposes the Ukraine War (and also oppose mass immigration, but that’s not nearly as important to the EU, at this point).

The title of the bbc piece below

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-37274201

is “Germany’s AfD: How right-wing is nationalist Alternative for Germany?”

But the question is asinine, considering no one is asking, “How left-wing is the German government?”

If you look at the map at the link, it’s rather interesting to note that the majority of those leaning AfD are those of the former East Germany.

The bbc article concludes with,

“If the EU fails to reform and continues centralising, the AfD says, the party will seek to pull Germany out of the EU.”

Musk has correctly shone a spotlight upon AfD; we should be supportive of those who oppose leftists in euroland and help the Germans avoid falling for the trap of demonizing the party as the media - and, ironically, the left - has done.

Their only strength really is immigration. If other parties adopted a harder line on that the appeal of the AfD would probably be much lower, as happened in Denmark in 2015.

As free citizens we believe in direct democracy, the separation of powers, the rule of law, social market economics, subsidiarity, federalism, family values, and German cultural heritage, as democracy and freedom are vested in our cultural values and historical tradition. The recollection of the two revolutions of 1848 and 1989 drive our civil protest and the determination to complete our national unity in freedom, and create a Europe of sovereign and democratic nation states, united in peace, self-determination and good-neighborliness.

AfD party platform, preamble

Minimum wages and the social market economy are closely connected. Minimum wages adjust the remunerative position of low-income workers as weak market players with respect to the interests of employers as strong market players. They also safeguard low-income workers against wage pressure caused by recent mass-immigration. Minimum wages enable an existence above the poverty line, and at least guarantee a humble pension, which otherwise would have to be paid for by society in the form of state support. Minimum wages thus prevent the privatization of profits while costs are socialized. It is for this reason that the AfD supports the retention of minimum wages.

I presume that Musk is doing this out of ignorance.
