President-elect Donald Trump said Sunday Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed his interest in a meeting regarding the war with Ukraine.
"President Putin said that he wants to meet with me as soon as possible," Trump said during his remarks at Turning Point's America Fest convention. "So we have to wait for this, but we have to end that war. That war is horrible, horrible."

Yes, Putin is a terrible war criminal for what he’s done in Checyna, Georgia, Syria, Crimea, Donbas, and many places in Ukraine (and many other places). The horrific mass murderers are a barbaric stain on his legacy.
My questions about Putin are these - does he really have WMD(s)? Would he really use them, including against the USA, if he feels pushed? How far will he go on his current military direction?
Why I ask is because it dicates the approach we should take. I also think a big root cause of this mess is that he and most of his people, especially in his power circle, don’t understand why Russia is so hated in these Central European countries. And the Special Military Operation of the past 34 months highlights this attitude very well on why they are so hated.
Look at the history textbooks of the children in these schools for 1955-1984 in comparison to 1995-2024 to see what I mean in Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Moldavia, Georgia, Armenia, and Ukraine. Why are the children in Russia not taught the truths about these changes? If Russians are going to solve problems in the world, including the ones they’ve made, then they really need to understand the perceptions about them. Putin, in his interview with Tucker Carlson, proved that he’s delusional on this.
Now back to the Donbas, Kharkiv, and other places in Ukraine full of many people who hate Russians right now - they have manpower problems, they have a legitimacy problem, and many other challenges that make it impossible to carry on with this War on their own. The Russians most definitely have their own challenges. In some ways the sanctions have worked. But these are far from airtight & being exploited. For example, I demonstrated the other day to a Relative how if I wanted that if I wanted that I could transfer funds to customers of a bank owned by the Russia Central Bank on my phone using at least 2 different bank accounts I have.
It would be better for the people of Ukraine especially if we freeze the current conflict like the Armistice of 1918. And then strive to learn the lessons of history on how things are planned going forward. I could easily see the lessons of history biting us in the a$$ in 21 years from now just as it did in 1918.
Yes I’d prefer to see Putin sent to Hague. But he’ll use nukes before he’d let that happen. We have to find a different path. Unfortunately, the way to save millions of lives now will be to not have him face punishment with this murdering of hundreds of thousands. Many folks will demand things in the same manner that Georges Clemenceau, Vittorio Orlando, David Lloyd George, and others did on Hermann Müller and Johannes Bell 106 years ago. We must learn the lessons of history on that.
It will be fantastic for Putin and Trump to meet. But first I think that Trump should demand and get a cease fire & let the battle lines freeze for a week before the meeting & then let them stay frozen as diplomacy takes over.
Looks like Biden has been pushed to the side by more then just the Democrat party/leadership.

The most recent USMSM/Turkey information I saw, which was several years ago, involved Erdowan’s sons-in-law and Trump’s sons. Apparently they were working on some kind of hotel/real estate project to be done in Turkey. It will be interesting to see if that project is revived, or if it ever went away.
Of course Putin does.....he knows Zelensky isn’t interested in stopping this war or even a ceasefire.....and so does the man waiting in the wings to be the next Pres. of Ukraine.
So is Zelensky.
