I thought possums were disease free. They also keep the mosquito population down.

id always heard they carried nasty stuff- , or maybe I’m thjinking of armadillos? I’m a northerner so we don’t get either animal really, although opposums are making their way north and every few years there is a bunch of them dead on the roads- but we don’t see them running around
I know southerners used to eat them- not sure if they still do?
