Radiation levels have spiked in New York City, fueling conspiracy theories that the drones terrorizing the Northeast are searching for a missing nuclear warhead.
The emissions, clocked by GQ Electronics' Geiger Counter World Map, were detected near the Bronx and Upper West Side Wednesday.
The application shows a radiation reading of 1048 counts-per-minute (CPM), i.e. how many particles were detected, in the Bronx: higher than normal background radiation.
The average person is typically exposed to background radiation that measures around five to 60 CPM, though CPM varies with sensor devices, according to NASA.
And, on the the Upper West Side, the app's reading measured a still high 175 CPM.
Now, an attorney and long-time critic of China claims that the spikes are a clue that the northeast's mystery drones might be a secret US government effort to identify 'an implanted nuclear weapon' hidden somewhere in the city by America's enemies.
'This is not something which is just wild speculation,' that lawyer and author, Gordon G. Chang, told reporters Monday.
'For more than a decade,' Chang explained, 'US officials have been worried about the North Koreans taking apart a [nuclear] device, smuggling the parts into the United States and reassembling it in the location of their choice.'
'When you talk about radiation, clearly this could be one of the things that the drones are doing,' Chang told Forbes Newsroom, 'and that would explain why they're over residential areas because the device could be planted in one of those places'
Crucially, more current reports from the Geiger Counter World Map do not show the radiation spikes at this time.

Well, it certainly may be possible. Chang is not the guy to go to on this. He is a Red China hater (with good reason) but has seen war around the corner every day for the last 30 years.
The really long-range detectors supposedly do not work very well in sunlight as it masks the faint radiation signatures to which they are tuned.
At least, that is what people claiming to be knowledgeable about such instruments are saying. It might be true. It might not be true. I don't have one of these detectors to check it out.
It is all a hall of mirrors where it is almost impossible to sort out the truth from all of the mis-directions. What is clear is that multiple agendas are in play and all of the players are lying about what they are doing. "It's for your own good", they say.
My guess is that broken pieces of an old Soviet nuclear weapon, once kept in the Ukraine, have been smuggled into New York or New Jersey to be used as a dirty bomb. And we have "Top Men" looking for them right now. But you can choose whatever story you like.
I do like the "Alien Introduction" theory for its' entertainment value and tenuous match with the more outlandish drone observations. I rate it as unlikely to be true but amusing even so. I am always up for a well-told story.
I am happy that I am not on the East coast right now. I will be really upset if the Al-Qaeda attack target turns out to be one of the cities nearby my current location instead. Because "(e), None of the above" is always a valid selection on those multiple-choice tests.

Truer than most people would imagine.
Medical radiation sources and nuclear medicine materials are trucked from where they are manufactured in Canada to JFK where they are flown all over the world. Some of these sources are strong but none are stationary for more than a few hours (max) before being flown out.
When these sources are moving they would be very noticeable from detection equipment in the air.
This would be a good place to resurect your beeber story...

There were supposedly 82 weapons unaccounted after Ukraine gave up the 1,754 Soviet-manufactured units they had in storage on former Soviet bases in Ukraine.*
It is very likely that two or three of them wound up in places they were not supposed to be. After 40 years, they cannot be in operable condition without extensive remanufacturing, but the cores could still be used for "dirty bombs".

*Pick whatever numbers you like. These are the ones I found. Somebody has a spreadsheet with exact model numbers and serial numbers for every unit. I don't have that spreadsheet or know anyone who does have it. A general view is "1700+ nuclear weapons, 80+ unaccounted".

Read somewhere that the sensors that the drones use to scan are sensitive to sunlight and work better when the sunlight’s background radiaton is down at night....not sure how true that is.
Oh, and who knows who, how many and what they have searching on the ground....they’re certainly NOT telling the public....

I have developed a “conspiracy blueprint theory” that I believe that they always use when they engage in a conspiracy.
It starts with the assumption that people don’t want to be the bad guys and most conspiracies need at least some amount of participation from hundreds or thousands of people.
It also involves the idea of some version of a “limited hangout”...

The limited hangout is the abridged or sanitized version of the truth that they tell the collaborators who otherwise wouldn’t participate or would spill the beans if forced to participate.
With JFK, the USSR was the limited hangout. The coup organizers needed hundreds or thousands of people to participate in the coverup of the murder of the President so they told the collaborators that the USSR killed Kennedy and it needed to be covered up to avoid WW3. The people helping cover it up thought they were the “good guys”.
In this drone scenario, I think the missing nuclear material is the limited hang out. I’m not sure what the ultimate conspiracy is but I think they are using the nuclear material angle to get civilians/military/media to cooperate.
It may be as simple as that they want to freak people out to increase the surveillance state...
