I know someone who works for a bank in anti-money laundering. There are very specific patterns of use of money and the quantities of it that they look for. However, that does include tracking EVERYONE, so for someone who prefers to use cash for a lot of things does come under suspicion.

It’s viewed as a good thing as it allegedly helps them prevent money laundering and catch human and drug traffickers.

Course, get rid of the illegals and much of the trafficking is dealt with.

I don’t know if there’s any other way of identifying and tracking money laundering. Stopping payouts to foreign interests would be a HUGE start. No more gifts or loans to third world tyrannies for the corrupt leaders to pocket while robbing the people for whom it is intended.

Speaking of money laundering, I wonder how the market value of Hunter Biden’s art is holding up.

Don't kid yourself, FedGov and the Fed have every reason to abet drug trafficking and money laundering abroad: It lets the Fed "print" dollars that go overseas and don't come back. They're a huge part of the reserve currency function abroad. That permits Congress to blow money with less consequence.
