In an unexpected move, Chrystia Freeland resigned her cabinet position as finance minister on Monday morning, even as she was set to deliver the Liberal government’s fall economic update later in the day. Here’s what to know.

Why did she resign?
In her resignation letter, Freeland said the prime minister had told her Friday that he was planning to move her out of the finance portfolio, but offered her a different, unspecified cabinet position.
Instead, she decided “the only honest and viable path for me is to resign from cabinet,” adding: “To be effective, a Minister must speak on behalf of the Prime Minister and with his full confidence. In making your decision, you made clear that I no longer credibly enjoy that confidence and possess the authority that comes with it.”

Not only was she a key figure in the "punishment" of the Canadian Truckers, she apparently was pushing ( inferred by comments by Jim Rickards, etc.) ways to 'thwart Trump',i.e., accelerate a trade war.
Wonder if she'll try to go to ground like Jacinda Ardern.
She has another link common with those of the globalist set who have a particular interest in a certain country located east of Poland/Romania.
She wants to be PM. She thinks she can do better vs. Poilievre, and she might be right. With the hated Justin out of the way, it will be a much more competitive election.
She was poisonous during the uSMCA negotiations. Woke arrogant and nasty.

They’re going to boot Trudeau and try to rebrand the liberals with her on top, or possibly have her defect to the NDP as opposition to the ascendant CP and hopefully claw back the government in the next, next election.
With Trudeau’s egotism, he’ll stay in office until absolutely threatened with something. Just like Starmer.

I hope Canadians see through this Liberal facade.
Freeland was supposed to deliver the bad fiscal news on Canadian economy to Parliment but chose to resign instead. The minister Trudeau then tasked with delivering the bad news also resigned.
It is clear Trudeau was planning on firing Freeland from her finance position after the bad news address, effectively assigning her the blame...but she beat him to the punch.
Now Trudeau is left with delivering the bad news himself, something he apparently cannot bring himself to do.
Adieu Justine...time for you to move on (hopefully to Cuba)
The Trump Wave is taking over.
Wanting doesn’t mean getting. The Liberals might save a few seats by changing leaders, but they are already a minority Government that just lost its fourth by-election in a year.
Unless Pierre Poilievre is found in bed with a live boy or a dead girl, he will be the King’s first minister for Canada by the end of October, if not much earlier.
