I kinda sorta disagree. All prophecy is middle-east centric.It barely touches any nation outside of that region, so the Man of Sin, I suspect, will come from a nation in that region.
Perhaps the European Antichrist idea is borrowed from ancient Jewish belief that Western Civilzation is spiritual Esau-Edom spoken of in the Book of Obadiah.
