“And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding.” Daniel 2:21
Bewildered might be the best way to describe the reaction of the prophecy teachers, and eschatologists, since the election of Donald Trump

I think most learned teachers view Trump as a modern day Josiah. Yes, he’s definitely not OBiden, but his presidency is just a brief respite, just like Josiah was. God’s judgment is still coming, and the ungodly underpinning still exist in the USA.
I agree that Trumpy is a ripple and not a consuming wave.
Patterns repeat and just like the Hebrews were rescued from captivity, their zeal and fervor relaxed to nil after just a short while. They breathed a deep sigh of relief and let their guard down. Didn’t take long for them to drastically error and wonder the dessert for 40 years.
Rinse and Repeat.
Righteous, Patriot Americans breathed a sigh of relief at Trumpy getting installed (not yet though) and just like that, are quickly losing their zeal and fervor.
Rinse and Repeat.
I agree with this article. Trump is going to have a hand in the third temple. He will bring peace. With his Love for digital currency, he will also begin the process of buying and selling without the mark.
I agree. I think his role is to buy us time so we can repent and get our lives in order. Most of us are going to lose everything in the last days and we need to prepare for that, in terms of being able to let it go when it is taken.
“How Does Trump Fit into Last Days Prophecies?”
He doesn’t.
Matthew 24:36: “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only”
Matthew 25:13: “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming”
“Trump is going to have a hand in the third temple.”
The veil that covered the Holy of Holies was rent from top to bottom when Jesus was crucified, ending the utility of the temple. There might be a replica built, I doublt it, but it will only be a building. There will not be another temple built with the unction of God.
Nowhere in the New Testament does it foretell a unique person called anti-Christ who will compel worhip from all the disparate world religions, who will joyfully give up their religions, and dupe Christians.
Are you a Preterist? “ Preterism is a view that interprets biblical prophecies as events that have already happened in history, especially in the first century AD.”
Just asking.

The best take on DJT I saw compared him, not to Josiah, but to Jehu in the northern kingdom. He took out the Baalists, and ended the line of Ahab, but otherwise was a speedbump on the way to the end.
The mark of the beast in Revelation 13 has happened for centuries in Jerusalem. Particularly during the years the Muslims/Ottoman Empire controlled Jerusalem. Contrary to the revisionist history about peaceful Muslim control, most of the time they forced you to be a Muslim to engage in commerce (or pay the jizya tax). It could be that the first beast in ch. 13 is Islam, and the 2nd beast is the Ottoman Empire. (Even if I'm wrong about that, it might be best if we at least consider the once large and powerful Ottoman Empire as fulfilling one of the Bible's prophecies of empires.)
Perhaps I'm wrong about that being the mark of the beast. Or perhaps I'm sorta right, with the concept that some of these things repeat in cycles.
It could be that the 144K in Revelation 14 are the Christians and Jews who won WW1 and WW2. Rev 14:8's fall of Babylon might be the fall of the Ottoman Empire which controlled the middle east for a long time.
Even if I'm right, my version is a long drawn out timeline. It took centuries to go through Revelation 13 to 14. So even if I'm right that the next steps are Revelation 15 and 16, those could take centuries.
Or it could be that I'm completely wrong. Or it could be that I'm sorta right, in that a lot of these things seem to occur in cycles. If that's the case, even if I'm wrong that the Ottoman Empire was the one who implemented the mark of the beast and we're currently experiencing the end of Rev 14, we probably ought to at least pretend that's the situation we're in and stick to the Lord like glue with a no-matter-what-no-matter-who type attitude.
Just make it up.
An artist by the name of Charles Dellschau predicted Trump becoming the 45th prez with a painting he created in the early 1900s.

Then some 30 to 40 years later a radioplay in 1938 was produced and broadcast about a UFO invasion of New Jersey called “War of the Worlds.”
Just a coincidence.
We don’t know day or hour but what about decade
We don’t know day or hour but what about decade
Or millennia.
We have been in the “last days” for 2000 years. I have been hearing these same interpretations for 65 years (when I was able to understand them, or at least when I thought I understood them). Hal Lindsay made a cool 30 million off it though, with his book “The Late, Great Planet Earth”.
“Are you a Preterist?”
That makes me laugh.
As a teenager, I used to read the Old Testament a lot since it made me uncomfortable to read the New Testament — it was obvious that all the New Testament characters, including Jesus Himself, thought He would return at that time and that was an observation that ran counter to all I had been taught. “You shall not have gone over the cities of Israel until the Son of Man returns.” Jesus tied the end time to the destruction of the Temple, etc. The disciples got into contention because they believed that John would still be alive when Jesus returned, etc.
Paul had to write a group and tell them that, no, the resurrection had not occurred. Why would the Christians even contemplate that, being so close to the time of Christ and so close to the origins of truth?
So, I felt much better about it all when I read the book, The Parousia, by James Stuart Russell. He wrote that about 1880.
Now, I find that Biblical verses and views can be entirely dismissed by the perjorative “Preterist.” If you can’t answer someones arguments, call them a bad name and move on.
He doesn’t fit unless a Gentile nation helping out the Abrahamic covenant. It’s all about Israel and the Jewish people.
That too is a good analogy. Thanks for pointing that out.

Agreed. Jehu toppled Jezebel, though her spirit has been working overtime since then. Unfortunately, his son took over after Jehu died and Israel went down the toilet….the US is on borrowed time, unless we somehow experience Revival.
