This article was very long, a lot of concern trolling, but remarkably did not even describe which of the two Sanofi polio vaccines the petition was about.
There are four polio vaccine manufacturers that serve the US market. All four provide inactivated polio vaccine only. Sanofi has two products, the others have one each.
What the controversy is about is that the specific vaccine that is the subject of this petition may have been approved without the same testing the others have had.
Now, this guy advising RFK may be a nut. I've never heard of him, and I've prescribed many vaccines for many years.
But saying "I'm pro-vaccine" or "anti-vaccine" is like saying, "I'm pro-pills" or "I'm anti-pills". It's the content of the vaccine, or the pill, that has to be tested. The FDA is much too loose, with both vaccines AND pills, about approving new versions of similar but not identical formulations, and that's what this is all about.
And, no, this Sanofi product has not been "given for 70 years".

Since Polio is spread from person to person through fecal–oral transmission, including ingestion of food or water contaminated by human feces, I'd bet on contaminated drinking water.

Do we know? The absence of cases does not prove that Polio vaccinations are needed in children. Human beings can pass down immunity, like small pox did not affect European settlers as much as Indians. Quit making it mandatory until you know by double blind studies and other ways, if it is working as promised. Polio had nearly vanished in the US before the vaccines came out.

Hi girl! My oldest son dyed when he was 16 After a few years he developed cancer in his leg. I haven’t changed my mind that the vaccine killed him. There was a great number of young children developing cancer on one leg. Most of them had amputations: My son had the first vaccine when he was 6 years Old. Then he had the cancer on his right leg. St Jude was kind to allow him to come there because they were puzzled that he had the one leg cancer at his age. They wanted him there to study. I believe that he and hundreds of other children were losing legs. What caused that? Now that we start to be aware of vaccines, I wonder if the number of children with cancer on one leg has gone down. Wish I knew how before I die (I’m really really old)

Yes, I do and I can even spell it. I know a few things in my 91 years, but I survived a whole lot of things and was blessed with more. Your are the first freper I’ve have found. I was too busy going back to college at 52 and on to PHD. Then 25 years as a Methodist pastor (now I don’t tell many people after what’s happened to the Methodist. I’v retired). So what are you doing these days?
