LeBron James Abruptly Disappears From Lakers
Outkick ^ | December 13, 2024 | Alejandro Avila

LeBron James is having a questionable week.

First, the NBA star was called out by Colby Covington, and now he's dealing with a mysterious absence from the Lakers, apparently due to "fatigue."

Only the Lakers brass know why LeBron took time off, while the rest of the fans concocted their own theories on what's happening.

On Wednesday, Lakers coach J.J. Redick commented on LeBron James' absence from practice. He said James, turning 40 at the end of this month, was away from Lakers for "personal" reasons and that James is excused, as if the first-year coach had any other option.

"LeBron is not with the team right now," JJ Redick told reporters on Wednesday. "He’s out for personal reasons, an excused absence."

In his 22nd season, The King's on court play is off to a shaky start to the season.

LeBron is expected to miss Friday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, per Lakers reporter Dave McMenamin. He's "taking some time," McMenamin added.

Heads are scratching around the league as the Lakers remain quiet about the absence of LeBron, the league's most popular player. Has "fatigue" finally caught up with King James in his twilight years?

Sunday marked his first missed game of the season. The Los Angeles Lakers are 13-11 heading into Minnesota's game. On Sunday, they play at home against the Memphis Grizzlies. Recent and weak rumors around the NBA have suggested that LeBron wants a trade out of LA.

LeBron's son, Bronny (drafted by the Lakers this offseason), played for the G-League South Bay Lakers on Thursday. He had arguably his all-time best performance on a court in a loss to the Valley Suns in Tempe (AZ.). Bronny scored 30 points on 13-of-23 shooting. LeBron James was not spotted in attendance, having missed Thursday's practice as well.

Everyone continues to ask: where on Earth is LeBron James?

Never ask LeBron for change of a dollar, he doesn’t have a 4th quarter.

I’d say it’s safe to assume so.

Gonna need tree-fiddy for a lawyer to cure the Diddy-itis.

Lebron doesn’t even make the top 10 best players, let alone GOAT.

My six brothers and sisters and I grew up during the John Brodie years as the 49ers quarterback. Later, there was a time when the 49ers were so bad, there was no fence around the 49ers Redwood City practice field. Then came Bill Walsh, Montana, Ronnie Lott, Dwight Clark and the rest is glorious history. I used to run the same hill Jerry Rice runs. Then, Colon Krapernick came along, and we all said No Mas. Have not watched a game since.

Today, when I desire a 49er fix, I just dial up some Jerry Rice highlights. Especially some with both Rice and John Taylor. Both Taylor and Rice were sooooo good at turning a 5 yard pass into an 80 yard touchdown.

I remember back when they played at Kezar Stadium there were always fights in the stands.

The recent absence of LeBron James has been discovered to be related to him receiving a name transplant.

His original last name “James” is being excised, and reimplanted in front of his original first name “LeBron.”

After he heals up, he will be referred to only as James LeBron. Jim LeBron will also be acceptable, but never Jimmy or Jimmie LeBron.

Mr LeBron insists that he will be MOST offended and angry if anyone should be so biased as to “dead name” him.

He does admit that he might at times dead name himself.

Should that occur, he respectfully requests that his friends gently correct him by reaching up, pulling his face into eye contact, and reminding him very seriously, “He’s dead, Jim.”

Matthew 18:6 ESV

“But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.”

Of course, it might not be child molestation. It could just be buggery!

Ain’t no party like a Diddy party

I think you’re wrong about pretty much all of your thinking. He quits, isn’t tough, flops at the slightest injury, certainly is not the GOAT, and his whining about his boy getting in is laughable. The kid is struggling in the lower league.

That all before we get to his bowing down to China. I think you might want to reassess your support of him. But you do you of course
