Eggs here where I live in Russia, .72 - 1.00/dozen (Russian dozen = 11 eggs).

Although, we don't need to buy them, nor, butter, chicken, beef, goose, duck, vegetables, etc. We get all that from my in-laws who raise and grow their own stuff.
My only complaint about the above is, I need to teach them how to slaughter next year's cow so I can get my prime cuts out of it. But if I'm in the mood for a nice juicy steak, I can get one at the store for about 2.00.

Eggs are always more expensive around Thanksgiving and Christmas.
