U.S. forces conducted over 75 precision airstrikes in central Syria, targeting ISIS camps and operatives. CENTCOM vows to prevent ISIS from reconstituting or conducting external operations
They’ll go Hog Wild on Assad’s people soon enough
It'll be interesting to see what will happen to Assad Loyalists. Especially because they tend to be secular and a fair number of them are Alawite.
What does HTS stand for?

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces conducted OVER 75 airstrikes in Syria today against ISIS camps and operatives in central Syria. Meanwhile, the IDF is literally wiping out any chemical weapon plants, air defenses, missiles, and intelligence locations in the entire country.
Another Israeli source explaining four groups in Syria:

They seem United in getting rid of the decades long dictator, but don’t plan to destroy Syria and start a new government.
Will the different factions or parties work politically under the Syrian system or later begin to use violence? Who knows.
Now that Assad is gone, they will turn on each other for about 12 months during which time there will be a few spontaneous uphill banzai charges against Israeli positions.
Haven’t heard the Shia/Suni thing yet.
One thing they all have in common, they hate the Joooooos.
So, Kurds, Secular or Jihadi?
Answer: Yes.
Who cares? None are allies.
Right now even Christians and Alawites are celebrating in massive numbers in their cities. According to the Alawites, only the top 1% of Alawites who had ties to Assad had any protection. The rest were as under surveillance and threat of arrest and torture as everyone else. I’m assuming that’s the case with the Christians since I see them stomping on Assad statutes and dancing around Christmas trees as well.
I have also seen NO reports of any minorities being attacked. One of the main groups, Jihadists, put out an order stating that no minorities or their lands should be harmed, and have told religious leaders in each town that minority rights will be respected and warned anyone who might do otherwise.
Since Turkey is involved, it’s possible they won’t permit Syria to turn into another Afghanistan. But we’ll see.
I DO fear for the Kurds.
If Turkey is the instigator, they’re Jihadi.
SDF Kurds and allies are friends of the USA.
In Northern Syria, I have seen estimates of religious beliefs.
It varies in the town they live in. My guess from a few years ago 1/4-1/3 are Christian (Syriac and other), 1/3 atheists, 1/3 Muslim (some secular (in name only) to keep them from harm)
I read that during the years they were fighting ISIS with our support there were 24,000 Christian conversions.
The PKK influence is largely atheists.
The Kurds lost 11,000 soldiers fighting ISIS.
The horde of head choppers who just descended on Damascus? It’s a conglomeration of various rent-a-jihadi mobs led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS).
There are even Uyghers, yes Uyghers, among them:
Kurds? No. The Turks don’t like them, and neither do their head choppers.
You’ll see soon enough.
