Nicki is also a Born Again Christian, having go thru his journey with ex-Anthrax guitarist Danny Spitz.
Maiden is an outstanding musical enterprise…prog metal.
Good on him.

Sounds like he would be a great comic villain. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son Nicko McBrain and his Iron Maiden. Run to the Hills!

42 years of touring. Yeah, could be time to slow down a little. What a Trooper...

I feel very fortunate to have seen them in Tokyo on September 21st. I’ve been a fan since I was a wee lad and still am a thriving metalhead and will be forever.

When asked what his plans are, McBrain said; “Try to take over the world, Pinky”.

They were in Detroit last year and I didn’t make enough of an effort to go see them...it was in the back of my mind, probably the last chance! ...it’s amazing they were still going.
Great band.

His work with Pat Travers was awesome. Nico on drums and Peter Cowling on bass........what a rhythm section!

I saw them in October. I’ve seen Maiden live 21 times, been in 3 Iron Maiden tribute bands and was fortunate enough to meet the band twice.
Nicko has had a very serious influence on my drummming.

A very good listener and that is the distinction between an average metal band and a HoF like the Maiden. He’s earned it. Here’s hoping they get Danny Carey from Tool after he wraps up this King Crimson reunion tour.

What sort of name is McBrain? Very unique . . . or is it a stage name?

LoL. Yeah, and remember each drum, cymbal, hardware probably had its own case. At least the drums do.
