Great climate for Christians trying to raise children in.

Don’t forget Jesus was Jewish and Christianity is an offshoot of Judaism, and you cannot understand Christianity if you don’t understand Judaism.
Well, no. Judaism does not understand Jesus. Judaism doesn't even understand Abraham or Moses. So you don't need to "understand Judaism" to understand Scripture or Christianity.
John 5:45-47
"But do not think I will accuse you before the Father. Your accuser is Moses, on whom your hopes are set. If you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about me. But since you do not believe what he wrote, how are you going to believe what I say?”
John 8:39-40
“Abraham is our father,” they answered. “If you were Abraham’s children,” said Jesus, “then you would do what Abraham did. As it is, you are looking for a way to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Abraham did not do such things."
Exactly.
He had some pointed observations on Jews, if you know your scriptures, e.g. “vipers”.
Jesus was not only a JEW he was also a rabbi. In those days you didn’t have to go to a college to get programed and certified to prove that you would stick to the narrative to be a teacher.
